Paolo Liuzzo, former partner of Princess Beatrice, passes away in Miami hotel from suspected drug overdose.

Princess Beatrice's former partner, Paolo Liuzzo, has tragically passed away due to a suspected drug overdose in a Miami hotel. Police were alerted to the incident at 3:22 pm on February 7th, according to the Miami Police Department.

Reports indicate that Liuzzo's time of death was recorded as 3:34 pm, typically reflecting the moment of pronouncement by medical personnel. While investigations are ongoing, authorities are treating Liuzzo's death, at the age of 41, as a drug overdose.

Liuzzo, the son of an Italian plastic resin tycoon, gained attention for his romantic involvement with Princess Beatrice in 2005, when she was 17 and he was 24. Their relationship became public during a skiing trip to Verbier, accompanied by Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson. However, the couple separated a year later following Liuzzo's return to the US due to probation violations stemming from an assault conviction.

Liuzzo's death certificate reveals his occupation as an art industry consultant, with his body flown back to Long Island for a funeral on February 16th. He struggled with substance abuse and gambling debts, prompting concerns among friends about his well-being.

Amidst this tragedy, Princess Beatrice faces additional challenges, including her mother Sarah Ferguson's recent cancer diagnosis. Ferguson disclosed her battle with malignant melanoma in January, just months after undergoing breast cancer surgery.
